Section Content
No Place for Racism ✊🏽🛑 Since the installation of anti‑racism benches in front of the ZHG had no effect and Nazis continue to find space on campus, we demand the erection of additional anti‑racism benches until the problem is solved. We actively support and expand left‑wing structures, organizations, and educational offerings. 🏛️📚
Stop Censorship 🚫🎮 We call for the immediate reopening of the servers for the ever‑popular farm game Hay Day. This simulation game is essential for Environmental Engineering students to gain practical experience and insights into agriculture. 🎮🌾👩‍🎓
Improve Working Conditions for Student Assistants 💼📈 University student jobs should be better compensated to reflect the valuable work of our assistants. 💰
Political Education, if Empathy Fails 📚🤝 We demand the introduction of a new mandatory module on International Humanitarian Law for all voters of the Green Student Group, for Political Science students, and for our sole law student, Ben. ⚖️👩‍⚖️
Promote Sports and Culture 🏊‍♂️🎭 To boost student participation in sports and cultural events in Cottbus, we advocate recognizing activities (e.g., the 24‑hour swim) as academic achievements worthy of credit points. 🏅📖
Promote Democracy! 🗳️🤲 We call for abolishing the parliamentary apparatus in favor of a grassroots democratic council structure. Departments should be organized in democratically legitimized councils and represented directly by delegates. The Diversity & Social Affairs list serves as a committed voice for student interests within this structure. 🏛️👥
Hot and Tasty Cafeteria Again! 🍽️🔥😋 We aim to improve the quality and quantity of cafeteria meals. We are already in dialogue with the responsible parties. 🥗🍲
Ice Cream for Everyone! 🍦🎉 Having dropped the idea of a cafeteria‑owned “Meccs,” this year we will push for a Ben & Jerry’s fridge, subsidized from accumulated COVID‑19 funds. (Business students excluded.) 🍨💵
System Critique Instead of Consumer Critique 🔄🌍 Consumer critique obscures the real causes of the climate crisis. Therefore, we reject the Green Student Group’s car‑free university day as still too uncritical of the system. Instead, we oppose BTU’s partnerships with coal companies and climate‑opposing business associations. As recompense, we demand a university‑free car day during which the Green Student Group must provide vegan snacks. 🚗❌🌱🍏
